The Center for Mexican American Studies (CMAS) is pleased to solicit applications
for its Faculty Research Associate (FRA) program for the 2016-2017 academic year.
All interested faculty from relevant disciplines are invited to apply.
Three one-year FRA awards will be given, each with a $2500 stipend that may
be used to support scholarship in areas involving the study and understanding
of Mexican American and other Latino populations in the United States. Tenure-track
faculty are encouraged to apply.
FRAs are asked to:
participate in the intellectual life of CMAS by presenting their work in the Center’s Research Seminar during their FRA award period
support student recruitment for the minor in MALS
promote the student scholarship opportunities the Center offers during the academic year
promote CMAS’ mission during their appointment
Submit complete application consisting of CV and cover letter (including brief description of the applicant’s scholarship,
its relevance to Mexican American/Latino studies, and contribution to CMAS’ mission) before July 29, 2016 to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The selected winners will be announced by Aug 17, 2016.
