Economic Impact

Positioned within a 60-mile radius of more than 180 independent school districts with a combined student population approaching 1 million, the College of Education has continued to influence a significant, growing community. In the 2011-2012 academic year, we provided an estimated $63 million worth of economic benefits and services to local, state, and national communities. The estimated impact was calculated based on the college's contributions to local and national communities in three broad areas: investment, innovation, and service.
