For Family and Guests
The UTA Police Department recommends that families and friends carpool as much as possible for the Commencement ceremony to alleviate traffic congestion. Families and guests are encouraged to first check parking availability in the Park North, Park Center, and Park South garages north of the events center in the College Park District. Lots 47, 53, F10, F11, and F12 will also be available for guest parking. Please be aware that you may have to walk several blocks from your parking area to reach the College Park Center.
There will be a drop-off area for guests with mobility issues at Spaniolo Drive at the southwest corner of College Park Center or Center Street and the northeast corner of the College Park Center. See www.utacollegepark.com/visit-us/map.php for locations.
Guests are encouraged to arrive early to ensure proper seating. Doors will open one hour prior to each ceremony and live music will be provided by the UTA Department of Music. All guests must have a ticket for entry and should enter the building through Gate Two or Three (north and northwest entries). Only graduating students will be allowed to enter through Gate One (west entry).
During the Ceremony
No outside food or drink will be permitted in College Park Center. Concessions will be available for sale. Graduating students may not have food or drink with them in their seating area.
After the Ceremony
Moritz Plaza will be closed to provide a safe area for you to meet with your family after the ceremony. Please note that graduates will be exiting through the Gate Three, while guests will leave through Gate Two and Three (north and northwest entrances). So plan to meet on Moritz Plaza, not at an entrance in order to keep the traffic moving.
