Dr. Taryn Ozuna Allen, Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, is passionate about improving educational experiences for traditionally underepresented student populations in higher education.  Dr. Allen's research focuses on college readiness and access, STEM, and Latino students' higher education experiences.  Dr. Allen was recently named a member of the 2015 Class of Greater Texas Foundation Faculty Fellows.  The program is designed to help build the research and teaching capacity of tenure-track faculty at Texas colleges working in areas related to student success.  The Greater Texas Foundation's mission is to reinforce postsecondary preparation, access, persistence, and completion for Texas students.  Dr. Allen is one of only four fellows selected by the Greater Texas Foundation this year.
