It is with tremendous concern that we continue to monitor the catastrophic events this week on the Gulf Coast. As residents in these areas continue to struggle with the effects of Harvey, the UTA College of Education is committed to assisting students and members of our college community who are coping with the disaster while continuing their academic pursuits. If you or your family are affected by the storm, the COEd faculty, staff and administration will do everything we can, including flexibility in coursework completion, to assist you through this event and recovery.
All week, we’ve witnessed the resilience of coastal residents and tremendous hearts of volunteers who continue to aid our fellow Texans. If you are looking for ways to assist those in affected areas, the Dallas Morning News has an article, updating periodically, on how North Texans can help those affected by the storm. ("Hurricane Harvey: How North Texans can help"). The Star-Telegram also has information on how you can help. ("Here’s how you can help victims of Hurricane Harvey")
