UTA Senior Lecturer and Music Industry Studies Area Coordinator, Micah Hayes, added camp counselor to his list of duties as he introduced budding high school producers to the music industry through his unique audio production summer camp.
During Hayes' week-long camp, students recorded and produced music played by their peers. In addition to receiving specialized training in the basics of studio production, students were encouraged to take full advantage of their access to an array of resources and equipment. The hands-on learning opportunity yielded plenty of excitement and a few impressive, new skills.
