2021 Virtual Ceremony

VIRTUAL Ceremony 

The University of Texas at Arlington will hold a virtual commencement via the commencement website Sunday, May 16 at 5 p.m. CST.

The virtual ceremony will consist of video messages from university leaders and commencement speakers, along with official degree conferral. Graduates should utilize Marching Order, to create their personalized graduate slide for the virtual ceremonies. All graduates wanting to personalize their slide must complete their profile by April 26 at 11:55 p.m.

Make the most of your virtual ceremony
  • Schedule a virtual commencement watch party with family and friends or share the virtual commencement website link with family and friends, asking them to join you for the event
  • Participate in time-honored commencement traditions such as standing upon degree conferral, tassel and/or ring turning, cap throwing, and the singing during the Alma Mater
  • Purchase regalia (optional) to wear during your virtual commencement celebration and for photo opportunities
  • Share your photos and experiences on social media using #ForeverMaverick
  • Use traditional commencement items as props (commencement program, regalia, honor cords)
  • Download a PDF of the commencement program to provide to guests at your celebration
Post Toast Celebration

Immediately after the virtual commencement, you are cordially invited to a Post Toast Graduation Celebration hosted by the UTA Parent & Family Center. Join us LIVE with your family and friends for an official toast to your success. You can anticipate a chance to go down memory lane with special UTA trivia, a Mocktail Demo with a special toast to graduates, a UTA Graduation Cap Toss and more. Participate with us LIVE and you will be entered into a drawing for the chance to win a $50.00 Prize Pack or Diploma Frame. We’ll see you May 16, 2021 immediately following the virtual commencement.
