Merit Increases for FY 2015

To: Vice Presidents, Deans, and Department Heads

Our dedicated and talented faculty and staff have enabled UT Arlington to continue to grow in reputation, impact, and student population over the past year. Their efforts have made it possible for the University not only to meet the imperatives of our mission but also to continue setting new standards.

I am pleased to announce that, in acknowledgement of the tremendous efforts being made by our faculty and staff and in continuation of the steps initiated last year to enhance the compensation levels for our faculty and staff, a merit raise pool has been allocated for eligible faculty and staff for FY 2015.

Our faculty and staff enable the excellence that defines UT Arlington, and their efforts are driving the tremendous trajectory that we have in becoming the model 21st-century urban research university. As we complete our strategic plan and begin its implementation, it is crucial that we support and encourage excellence in all facets of the institution.

For faculty and staff receiving a merit increase, the increase will be to base salary and will be effective September 1, 2014. The increase will be reflected in the October 2014 paycheck.

The guidelines and instructions for developing merit recommendations can be found at FY 2015 Merit Program.

Thank you for all that you do to ensure the pursuit of excellence and achievement at UT Arlington.

Sincerely,

Vistasp M. KarbhariPresident
