Dear Members of the UTA Community:

I am pleased to announce that the Board of Regents of the University of Texas System has established a new Regents’ Outstanding Employee Award.

The Regents’ Outstanding Employee Award (ROEA) will be given to the most valuable, hardworking employees across all UT System institutions and the UT System Administration, beginning in 2018. The award seeks to recognize thirty (30) UT System employees per year from across our institutions for their outstanding performance, innovation, enthusiasm, and dedication. ROEA winners will receive a $10,000 award and will be honored at an annual awards luncheon hosted by the UT System Chancellor and Board of Regents.

To be eligible for an ROEA, an employee must:

  • Be a full-time, benefits-eligible, non-faculty employee
  • Have been employed by UTA for at least 2 years
  • Be in good standing from the most recent performance evaluation (“meets expectations” or higher)
  • Be able to produce three letters of support from key individuals who are aware of and can speak to the employee’s outstanding contributions to UTA

This is a tremendous opportunity to honor the outstanding staff at UTA and I encourage you to nominate outstanding and deserving colleagues across UTA.
