Gov. Abbott appoints UTA police chief to Texas Commission on Law Enforcement

Kim Lemaux, UTA chief of police, has been appointed to the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement by Gov. Greg Abbott. As a state regulatory agency, the commission establishes and enforces standards to ensure that the people of Texas are served by highly trained and ethical law enforcement, corrections, and telecommunications personnel. Her appointment is through Aug. 30, 2021. LEARN MORE.

Proposals due Thursday for HUB Spot Bid

Submit bid requests for the HUB Spot Bid Fair by noon Thursday, May 4. Small and historically underutilized businesses (HUBs) can bid "on the spot" at the fair, sponsored by state Sen. Royce West.

Send bid requests to Laurie Thompson, HUB coordinator, at lauriethompson@uta.edu. Consider your departmental requirements, particularly those that can be awarded in mid-May. All purchase requests must be received by the deadline to be advertised at the UTA Procurement Services/HUB Program exhibit table.

The fair is Monday-Tuesday, May 8-9, at the Irving Convention Center.

The Office of Procurement Services has announced deadlines to ensure that year-end purchases are handled in an efficient and effective manner. More information and related documents can be found on the Procurement website. Adherence to these processes and deadlines is critical to ensuring the successful processing of your purchases.
