Annual Campus Fire and Safety Report 2017

The 2017 Annual Campus Fire and Safety Report—which includes three years of crime statistics, fire statistics, and UTA’s policies regarding campus security and safety—is now available from the UTA Police Department.

The crime statistics reflect crimes that happened during 2014-16 on campus, in off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by UTA and frequented by UTA students, and on public property within or immediately adjacent to campus.

Wen Chan Memorial Fund

A memorial fund has been established to honor Wen Chan with a goal of reaching $50,000 in contributions by Oct. 21. Make a contribution.

Dr. Chan, a professor in the College of Engineering’s Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, passed away Friday, Sept. 15. He joined UTA in 1988 and taught, mentored, and influenced generations of students and young faculty colleagues. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday Oct. 21, at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Drive in Arlington.

Maverick Cyber Security Awareness

The September issue of Maverick Cyber Security Awareness from UTA's Information Security Office includes articles on passwords and other types of access management that protect our digital presence and on the three common types of insider threats.
