Distinguished Alumni Awards 2017

UTA Distinguished Alumni Awards event Nov. 10

UTA will honor five graduates and two supporters at the Distinguished Alumni Awards banquet, a highlight of UTA’s homecoming week. The 2017 Distinguished Alumni Awards will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, in the E.H. Hereford University Center Bluebonnet Ballroom. This year’s honorees are, from left, Mike Rhyner, '81; Nafees Alam, '02; Teresa White, '88; Frank and Jane Alexander; Raj K. Nooyi, '78; and Roger A. Krone, '81. Alam will receive the Distinguished Recent Graduate Award. The Alexanders will be named Distinguished Honorary Alumni. Tickets for the banquet and table sponsorships are available at LEARN MORE.

Faculty, staff included in Halloween fun


Think your workload is scary? Try these stress-busting, fun, and free events.

Halloween Trick-or-Treat at the College of Business, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, at the Business Building. Faculty and staff are invited, and costumes are encouraged.

ARToberFest, 3-5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, architecture courtyard. Art, music featuring alumna Sam Lao, and a costume contest with cash prizes.

Wheelock Academy: A Native American Paranormal Documentary, 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, Rosebud Theatre. The film looks at hauntings at an infamous Anglo school for Native Americans.
