UTA to close at 4 p.m. today, Friday, Jan. 6

The University of Texas at Arlington will close at 4 p.m. today, Friday, Jan. 6, due to icy road conditions and forecasts for freezing precipitation.

The closing affects all offices, libraries, events, and classes, as well as the UTA Research Institute in Fort Worth, the UTA Fort Worth Center, and all other UTA locations.

Additional communications will be forthcoming only as changing weather conditions may mandate. Otherwise, all operations and schedules will be considered to be on normal schedules on Saturday, Jan. 7.

Please continue to monitor University email and the UTA home page, uta.edu, for the latest information. Notices also will be distributed to area media outlets and through the official UTA Facebook and Twitter feeds.

The University's Emergency Information Hotline at 1-866-258-4913 always has the current status of all operations.

TrailBlazer, UTA’s e-newsletter for students, is published by University Communications on Tuesdays during the fall and spring semesters and every other Tuesday during summer terms, except for holidays.

Submit items for publication to trailblazer@uta.edu.

TrailBlazer welcomes subscriptions from non-students of UTA as well.
