Artists bring wares to international folk art market this weekend

See the talents of artists from around the globe at the inaugural Santa Fe International Folk Art Market at Arlington Friday-Saturday, June 16-17, at The Green at College Park on the east side of the UTA campus. The event is the first satellite site for the renowned International Folk Art Market | Santa Fe, rated the Best Art Festival in America by USA Today. LEARN MORE.

Carter Blood Care will take donations 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, at the Library mall and the University Center mall. Register online.


Join fellow Mavs at UTA Day with the Dallas Wings

Add some basketball action to your lunchtime at UTA Day with the Dallas Wings on Wednesday, June 21. Watch as the Wings take on the San Antonio Stars and meet Lightning, the Wings' new mascot, at College Park Center. Tip-off is at noon. Use the code utaday17 for $10 tickets at utatickets.com.

Reserve a display case for department or student organization

Reservations for display cases in the University Center are now open for summer and fall terms. Departments and student organizations can reserve cases for two weeks twice a semester. Make a reservation at the Student Organizations Office in Suite B120 of the University Center. Send questions to sao@uta.edu.


Free T-shirt, lunch for emergency drill volunteers

Hundreds of volunteer actors are needed for UTA's full-scale emergency response drill on Monday, July 31. The goal of the drill is to evaluate UTA’s response to an active shooter incident. Emergency responders from UTA and the City of Arlington’s police and fire departments will take part in the exercise at College Park Center. Lunch and a T-shirt will be provided to all participants. Register to volunteer.

Tuesday, July 4—Independence Day holiday; no classes; UTA closed.

Thursday, July 6—Last day to drop classes for 14-week term; submit requests to adviser prior to 4 p.m.

Monday, July 10—Registration ends for second five-week term.

Tuesday, July 11—First day of classes for second five-week term.

Tuesday-Wednesday, July 11-12—Late registration for second five-week term.
