Ticket Information

ATTENTION: DO NOT ASSUME that you will be able to get guest tickets if you do not claim your tickets in Ticket Offer 1. Students may receive these guaranteed tickets ONLY in Ticket Offer 1. All unclaimed guest tickets from Ticket Offer 1 will return to a central ticketing pool.

Fall 2018 Commencement Tickets

All candidates for graduation are encouraged to invite their family and friends to help them celebrate this significant milestone and momentous occasion.

All graduates, family, and other guests over the age of 2 must have a commencement ticket to enter the College Park Center.

Who is eligible to participate in commencement exercises?

Students who are candidates for graduation are eligible to participate in the May 2018 commencement ceremonies.  Students will be contacted by their School or College regarding the process for participating in the commencement ceremonies.

If you finished your degree requirements in a previous semester, but deferred participation, you may walk only in the next ceremony following your graduation, unless you graduated prior to Summer 2017:

  • As of June 1, 2017, graduates may ONLY walk either the semester they finish their degree (fall semester for those finishing in summer) or the following long semester. For example:
    • If you finish in August 2018 or December 2018, you may either walk in December 2018 or May 2019
    • If you finish in May 2018, you may walk in May 2018 or December 2018.
  • Graduates who finished their degrees in May 2017 or before are grandfathered in to a previous rule of no time restriction for walking.
  • This change is due to the fact that we have a limited amount of space and a growing class of graduates. We have to accommodate those finishing that semester first and then accommodate others as space allows.

However, you will not be contacted. You must take the initiative to sign up to participate. We do not have a list of those who finished but who deferred participation in Commencement.
