COE Welcome Bash Will Kick Off the Year in Style

The 2013-14 academic year will start in style as the College of Engineering hosts its Welcome Bash from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. on the Engineering Mall. Food, giveaways and music rule at the College of Engineering Welcome Bash.The event is free, and all engineering students are encouraged to attend.

In addition to free pizza, a DJ will play music and host contests for giveaways ranging from food gift certificates to UTA merchandise and much more. A tattoo artist will airbrush tattoos and a balloon artist will make amazing creations, all for free.

Each department and more than a dozen student organizations will have displays for students who want to get involved with life within the College, and free College of Engineering t-shirts will be available to engineering students on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last.

"I hope that all of our students, faculty and staff will attend Welcome Bash. It's a great way for our students to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones. It also gives our new students the opportunity to meet faculty and other students, and see all of the opportunities available to them," said Dean Khosrow Behbehani.
