FSAE Team Ranked Fifth in the World

UTA FSAE car at SCCA eventThe success of UT Arlington's Formula SAE program across three decades of competition earned the program well-deserved recognition and a top-five ranking in the world, in the latest Formula Student Combustion World Rankings, compiled by Formula Student Germany e.V.

"This is a confirmation of our leadership in Formula SAE and a well-deserved recognition of a job well done by Professor Bob Woods and his teams throughout the years," said Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department Chair Erian Armanios.

UTA was fifth of 513 ranked teams around the world. The program was the highest-ranked of any U.S. program, and was joined in the top 10 by the University of Washington (7) and the University of Akron (8).

The top 10 teams are:
