Wendy Okolo and Andrew Mizener, Aerospace Engineering Ph.D. students, will travel to Germany this summer as part of the 2014 Transatlantic Program-Young Technology Leaders (TAP-YTL) delegation.
Just 12 students are accepted to the delegation, which is hosted by the German-American Chamber of Commerce.
"This is a superb reflection on the caliber of UTA's Aerospace Engineering students," said Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department Chair Erian Armanios.
Participants of the 2014 TAP-YTL aerospace delegation will engage key players of the German aeronautics and astronautics industries, visit leading research institutions, and personally interact with engineers and business leaders that are driving the next generation of aerospace innovation. Structured intercultural communications training will be integrated into the program and will assist each each Young Technology Leader in expanding their network and advancing their career.
Okolo's advisor is Atilla Dogan. Mizener's is Frank Lu.
