CE's Kermanshachi Named ENR Texas/Louisiana Top Young Professional

Sharareh Kermanshachi, an assistant professor in the Civil Engineering Department, has been named a Texas/Louisiana Top Young Professional by Engineering News Record.

Sharareh KermanshachiKermanshachi, who joined UTA in fall 2016, was cited for conducting research to improve project delivery. 

"It is definitely a great honor to be recognized as the “Best-of-the-Best” in the construction industry by Engineering News Record and selected for Top Young Professional award. I am very proud that my name is added to the list of outstanding design and construction leaders," she said.

Kermanshachi recently earned her doctoral degree in civil engineering-construction engineering and management from Texas A&M University, where she taught as a civil engineering lecturer. Prior to that, she taught several courses at Morgan State University as a full-time lecturer, and was a graduate research and teaching assistant at Mississippi State University. 

After earning her undergraduate degree in architectural engineering, she worked as a project manager in Iran for one year. She is a Professional Engineer registered in the state of Texas, is LEED AP BD+C certified and is a certified project management professional.

Her research interests include construction engineering and management.
