Allison Hunter's photographic images of animals in zoos and animal sanctuaries explore cultural attitudes about man-made environments through subtle and sometimes surreal juxtaposition of subject and background.

Michelle Murillo is a printmaker who incorporates a variety of materials and media, such as silkscreen on glass, to examine the idea of personal history, memory and its role in connecting past to present. |

In association with the exhibition, two of the artists will discuss their work in illustrated, hour-long lectures in the Fine Arts Auditorium, Room 148. Allison Hunter will speak on Thursday, September 4 and Michelle Murillo on Wednesday, September 24. Both lectures will begin at 12:30 PM
All events are free and open to the public..
