Honors Study Abroad : Ireland 2007

Join other UTA students and Professors Karl Petruso and Stanley Palmer for Study Abroad in Ireland, Summer I, 2007.

Experience the pleasure of living and learning in an international setting, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Highlights of the program include:
  • 6 hours (2 courses) of UT Arlington undergraduate credit.
  • Team-taught by Karl Petruso (Anthropology) and Stanley Palmer (History).
  • Extensive travel throughout the island.

Program Dates: May 23 - June 6, 2007 abroad; preliminary class sessions on campus May 16-18.

Program Cost: $450 when submitting application; $550 remainder if accepted, paid by March 15.

Courses: ANTH 3358: Archaeology and Early History of Ireland and HIST 4388: Irish History in Ireland

Orientation Sessions: Wednesday, Jan. 31 from 3 to 4 pm and Thursday, Feb. 8 from 12 noon to 1 pm in the Carolyn A. Barros Reading Room, Suite 100, College Hall

Additional Study Abroad funding: The Office of International Education provides an additional scholarship opportunity throught the International Education Fee Scholarship (IEFS). Refer to the web site or call the Study Abroad Office for more information and deadlines.
