University of Texas at Arlington will be holding flu vaccination clinics for employees on:

We are able to accept the following PPO Insurance Plans:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield*
  • Aetna*
  • Cigna*
  • Humana
  • United Health Care
  • Medicare Part B

Please provide a photocopy of your insurance card and driver's license to receive your vaccine at o charge. The cost withoutu insurance is $20, payable by cash or check.

Aetna & BCBS Bronze, Silver & Gold plans and Cigna Local Plus plans are not accepted. HMO plans are not accepted.

How to Request a Temporary Insurance Card

  1. Call the BCBS Help Desk at 888-706-0583 to obtain your ID number and group number.
  2. Log in to Blue Access for Members website at
  3. Click the "Home" tab. Look at the panel on the left of the screen and scroll past "Message Center" and "Quick Links."
  4. Click "ID Card" and choose to print it out or download it as a PDF.




New Benefits Eligible Graduate Students  

Graduate students are eligible to enroll in student health insurance or staff health

GTA and GRA will not be able to log on to the online My UT Benefits fall semester enrollment until 09/01/2021.

If you show proof of any medical coverage except for the UTA faculty/staff medical coverage, UTA will waive premiums up to $157 to be applied to dental and vision for graduate students and eligible dependents Documentation for Eligible Dependents. 

Please complete the online new employee enrollment.  Access the My UT Benefits portal and make your benefits election using your NetID and log in as an active employee.

Your elections must be completed within 31 days of the start date of your employment. The deadline for enrollment 10/01/2021.  My UT Benefits will have access to benefits guides and videos to assist you with the enrollment process.

Initial Enrollment in My UT Benefits

You will get an email with the subject “Enrollment opportunity- ACTION REQUIRED” with information about enrolling and a link to the enrollment system. 

If you can’t find that email, you can login here You have 31 days from your date of hire to complete benefits enrollment. After that time, you may only make changes due to a life event (marriage, birth, adoption, etc.) or during Annual Enrollment held July 15 – 31 for a September 1 effective date. (Please use Google Chrome to ensure the best enrollment experience.)
