Dr. Christopher Conway


Christopher Conway (Ph.D. University of California San Diego, 1996) is Professor of Spanish in the Department of Modern Languages, where he teaches courses in Latin American culture and literature. Some of his favorite past courses have been on Critical Theory, Art and Literature, Mexican Comics, Latin American Music, and Literature and Politics. Professor Conway’s current research is on mass media and popular culture, with an emphasis on cheap print. He’s published articles and  books on cultural nationalism and history, and has a forthcoming book on Mexican film and comic book history. Professor Conway’s teaching distinctions include receiving the Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Award in 2012.
