Martha Taffa

Hello everyone!

My name is Martha Taffa. I was born and raised in Ethiopia. I am a junior transfer student pursuing a degree in Software Engineering and minoring in Mathematics. I completed my Associate of Science at Richland College. During my spare time, I like spending time with my family, discussing and debating on a certain topic or contemporary issues with my friends, watching movies, listening to music, drawing and sometimes reading books. I love being challenged by math questions and sometimes coding.

I am an active member of different organizations that are found on-campus. This is my second year at UTA, and I have loved each moment that I spend on-campus. Traveling all over the world and experiencing as many cultures as I possibly can is one of my dreams and UTA is already giving me the chance to meet with different students from different countries. I am excited to work with you all and share knowledge. I believe that everyone needs help at some point, and I am offering my knowledge and experiences whenever possible. Feel free to stop by the I.D.E.A.S. Center. I hope you all will have a great semester.

My favorite quote would be:
“She needed a hero, so that's what she became.” :)
