About the figures: The leftmost figure is a surface and contour plot of the solution of a two-dimensional convection equation on the unit square. It was obtained using the adapted (moving) grid (bottom figure) generated by the deformation method. The grid was obtained using the monitor function whose surface plot is shown in the top-figure and its 2-D contour plot on the right-figure. The monitor function was based on the gradient of the solution.
