OIT does still provide international loaners as part of their loaner program for staff and faculty. The easiest way to start the process is to email Technology Loaner Request TechnologyLoaner@uta.edu and let the team know you will be needing a loaner device for international travel. We do ask that this process be started at least 2 weeks prior to departure to ensure an appropriate time is given to the teams involved for ticket processing. Due to data security concerns and varying laws concerning encryption it is highly recommended that a clean slate device is taken instead of a client's primary device. While there is not a single location that houses all the information, see the links below for some more information regarding international loaners:

Note: When traveling to countries that have strict encryption policies, per the Information Security Office (ISO), the device will not be connected to the UTA domain, will have a fresh install of Windows, local user account, no encryption, no VPN, and no software other than what comes with Windows. The device will have Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, and Firefox for web browsers. All files should be accessed via the web and not stored on the device. If you plan to give any presentations or work with any files during your trip, it is encouraged that you test them in the web-based version of Microsoft Office (Office.com) to ensure they function as intended.
