CREATION AND MIGRATION SERIES: A READING BY JULIO CÉSAR AGUILAR | NOVEMBER 4, 12-1PM

Featuring co-presenter Miguel Uribe Clarín and moderator Deborah Rodríguez 

Poet, essayist, and Spanish-English translator, Dr. Julio César Aguilar will read from his recent collection of poems Alborozo, and share childhood memories of Zapotlán, Mexico. Julio César Aguilar's work has been translated into multiple languages and published in several countries, such as Iran, Spain, and Peru. He is the author of over twenty collections of poetry, including Destellos de Zapotlán y otras penumbras, Don del fulgor, Perfil de niebla, and Aleteo entre los trinos. He is also the author of the book interview Reconstrucción de Ángel Escobar en la voz de Marina Cultelli. Aguilar is a lecturer in the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures at Baylor University, where he teaches Spanish for Medical Professions and other courses in Spanish language and culture.
