Are you ready to challenge yourself to a deeper understanding of social justice issues? You are excited about the diversity of people represented at UTA. Maybe you’ve even gone outside of your comfort zone to attend a social or cultural event that celebrated the heritage and traditions of a particular group other than your own. But diversity is about more than celebration; it’s about education.

Checklist: Top 5 Multicultural Affairs programs where you can be empowered to promote diversity & inclusion in our communities. 

  1. Take a lunch break to attend one of our fun and interactive Maversity social justice workshops held during the fall & spring semesters.
  2. Do you want to “Be the change you want to see in the world"? Apply to serve on the Leaders Educating About Diversity team. 
  3. Attend the Diversity Lecture Series where nationally renowned speakers share their expertise on hot social justice and multicultural topics. 
  4. Register for the popular Ubuntu Social Justice Conference to network with others just like you who are interested in promoting positive social change!G
  5. Attend a Maverick Ally/Safe Zone workshop to increase your knowledge and gain skills that will help you to be supportive of members of the LGBTQ+ community.
