Black History Month lectures on Wednesdays in February

The African American Faculty and Staff Association hosts weekly speakers during Black History Month. The lectures are 1-2 p.m. Wednesdays in February in the sixth floor parlor of the Central Library. Scheduled speakers are:

• Feb. 7, W. Marvin Dulaney, an author and UTA associate professor of history emeritus.

• Feb. 14, Reality Canty, senior UX researcher of design technology at AT&T in North Texas.

• Feb. 21, Kristin Carothers, clinical psychologist in the ADHD and Behavior Disorders Center at the Child Mind Institute, a New York City-based nonprofit dedicated to children struggling with mental health and learning disorders.

• Feb. 28, Esther Terry, former president of Bennett College, a private four-year historically black liberal arts college for women in Greensboro, N.C.
