The College of Liberal Arts (CoLA) presents "Spotlight on Student Research," an annual student research forum, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, in the Bluebonnet Ballroom of the University Center.

This event showcases the best of students' research and creativity. Students will present work in varying formats including oral presentation of papers, posters, or performances.

Among the topics are cosplay (sociology), Clinton-Trump debates (linguistics), disability rights movement and modern art (history), mental health screening for prisoners (criminology and criminal justice), the Latina equal pay movement (political science), and much more.

Performances include theatre arts and music presentations. Four female artists give a panel discussion on their work.

Students can win one of three Dean’s Excellence Awards of $200 in each session category.

Check the schedule and read research abstracts.
