Review I-9 process for new hires

Faculty/Staff

UTA departments hiring personnel should review the I-9 policy—Employment Eligibility Verification—to remain compliant with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.

New employees—faculty, staff, and students—must attend the New Employee Paperwork Session at the Office of Human Resources and complete the required documents and I-9 verification on their first day. 

Questions regarding the New Employee Paperwork Session may be directed to hrdocs@uta.edu.  

Employees must present original verification documents. Copies of the verification documents cannot be accepted.

Faculty, staff, and student employees cannot work if they do not complete the I-9 requirements within their first three days.
