President Spaniolo on KERA

The August edition of KERA's CEO with Lee Cullum features UT Arlington President James D. Spaniolo and focuses on a University on the rise. Spaniolo discusses current challenges facing administrators in higher education, including reductions in state funding and political debate about faculty workloads. Online learning

The Dallas Business Journal reported that University of Texas System Chancellor Francisco Cigarroa and the UT System Board of Regents authorized up to $50 million to create the Institute for Transformational Learning last week. One of the goals is to establish UT institutions, including UT Dallas and UT Arlington, as world leaders in developing and implementing best-in-class resources for online learning
