Sasley writes op-ed for The National Interest

Israel's real problem is that it has no strategic plan concerning Hamas and Gaza, Brent Sasley, a UT Arlington associate professor of political science, wrote in an opinion article in The National Interest. Israel has never fully articulated its own goals regarding Hamas, particularly since Hamas won the 2006 Palestinian general election.

Huckaby art exhibit

“Sedrick Huckaby: Quiet Dialogues” is on display July 25 through Sept. 5 at The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House in Nacogdoches, Texas, Everything Nac reported. Huckaby is a UT Arlington assistant professor of art and art history. The exhibit features expressive oil paintings with heavy applications of impasto depicting members of Huckaby's African-American family.

Jolly and Donjuan art exhibit

Marilyn Jolly, UT Arlington associate professor of art and art history, and Carlos Donjuan, UT Arlington senior lecturer of art and art history, are showing an exhibit depicting illegal immigration at the Nave Museum in Victoria, Texas, Crossroads Today reported. The exhibit will be open through Aug. 31.
