Yahoo! Labs delivered hundreds of servers to UT Arlington to further student and academic research into more efficient systems of cooling essential network equipment, KXAS/NBC5 reported.

Jason Shelton, UT Arlington associate professor of Sociology, appeared on the KERA 90.1 FM noon show Think with Kris Boyd to discuss what it means to identify as a particular race in the wake of Rachel Dolezal stepping down as head of the Spokane NAACP. Shelton says Dolezal is emblematic of a move toward “extreme individualism”, where one gets to pick and choose who they want to be.

Alumnus interviewed

Dwight Lawson, Executive Director and CEO for the Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Gardens, was interviewed by Slice Magazine. Lawson earned his Master of Science in Biology and Ph.D. in Quantitative Biology from UT Arlington.
