Environmental impact

The American Prospect interviewed Kevin Schug, associate professor and Shimadzu Distinguished Professor of Analytical Chemistry, for an article about studies related to drilling and regulation. Schug and a UT Arlington research team found elevated levels of 10 different heavy metals in groundwater sources near the Barnett Shale.

Engineering research

The City of Arlington website, MyArlingtonTX, reported on a major donation of 480 servers by Yahoo! Labs. The gift will support furthered research into making the essential network equipment more efficient.

Supreme Court decision

KRLD/1080 AM interviewed Allan Saxe, associate political science professor at UT Arlington, on the recent Supreme Court decision to uphold The Affordable Care Act, often known as Obamacare.

Flood risks
