Center of Excellence reported that UT Arlington has been named a Center of Excellence by the National League for Nursing. UT Arlington was recognized under the category of “Creating Environments that Enhance Student Learning and Professional Development.”

Robotic nurse and reported on the NSF’s investment of $10 million in new technologies and systems that learn from data, including a UT Arlington led project. Dan Popa, associate professor in the Electrical Engineering Department, is developing a robotic nurse to help nurses and other healthcare providers perform the more routine duties that must be done daily.

Education scorecard

UT Arlington was mentioned in a Dallas Observer article about the new Department of Education College Scorecard. The new scorecard lets prospective students compare schools' debt-to-income ratio, among other data points.

Space race venue

UT Arlington will be the venue for “Space Race: Advances in U.S. Science and Transportation Technology,” one in a series of Fort Worth Opera panel discussions scheduled in advance of the spring world-premiere of the new opera, JFK, KERA’s Art & Seek and Theatre Jones reported.
