National accolades for College of Education
The 2020 U.S. News & World Best Online Programs has recognized The University of Texas at Arlington for the excellence of its online graduate programs in the College of Education.
- The magazine ranked UTA’s online master’s programs in education No. 35 of 309 programs in the U.S. for 2020, up from No. 46 in 2019 and placing them among the top 10% nationwide.
- Additionally, UTA was ranked No. 10 for best online master’s education program for veterans, up from No. 14 in 2019.
- The University was No. 20 for best online master’s programs in curriculum and instruction, a new specialty ranking introduced by U.S. News & World Report for 2020.
“A jump of 11 spots in a year is tremendous and reflects the great work the faculty have been doing to enhance excellence in the program, while ensuring that we continue to develops ways to effectively serve working professionals already in schools,” UTA President Vistasp Karbhari said. “I’m very proud of all that the College of Education and its faculty are doing to meet the critical needs of the state at the highest levels of academic rigor. Our efforts are having a major impact and clearly show how UTA continues to innovate to ensure access and excellence.”

Our graduates are highly effective school leaders and master teachers as a direct result of their UTA online preparation.”

U.S. News & World Report publishes its authoritative standings every year and has earned a reputation as the leading provider of information for its "Best" series that include rankings of colleges, graduate schools and more.
The 2020 rankings are calculated through a scoring system from statistical and peer reputation surveys that analyzed engagement, services and technologies; expert opinion from academic officials; faculty credentials; and training and student excellence.
