Program on the Arab-Israeli Conflict to be held at UT Arlington

Dr. Jeffrey Sosland, assistant professor of international business, trade and foreign policy at American University in Washington, D.C. Sosland will speak at noon Monday, Jan. 28, in room 108, University Hall, 601 S. Nedderman Drive. His lecture is titled "The Arab-Israeli Conflict and Water Scarcity: Challenges for U.S. Foreign Policy." Sosland's research has focused on the politics of globalization and the political economy of the Middle East. He has published numerous academic works and has been an active participant in international conferences on the Middle East and world politics. Most recently, he has published a book on water scarcity and the Arab-Israeli conflict, Cooperating Rivals: The Riparian Politics of the Jordan River Basin.

There will be opportunities for audience questions and general discussion following Sosland's lecture. There is no charge to attend and reservations are not required. Contact Dr. Brent Sasley at for more information on this event.
