ARLINGTON - Easter Seals North Texas and the Manufacturing Association of North Texas are hosting the fourth Annual Employment Symposium at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, at the Arlington Sheraton, 1500 Convention Center Drive.

The theme this year is “Better Your Bottom Line: Employer Access to People with DisAbilities.” Lockheed Martin is the presenting sponsor, and UT Arlington is a Star Partner. Join more than 200 North Texas human resource professionals, hiring managers, business owners and corporate executives to learn more about the benefits of hiring people with disabilities. Learn how to attract this qualified pool of potential employees.

The 2008 Texas Governor’s Committee for People with Disabilities Employment Awards will be presented.

Highlights of the symposium include: Work Opportunity Tax Credits; updates to the Americans with Disabilities Act; a legal panel on hiring practices and accommodations; sessions covering service, retail, hospitality, and manufacturing and logistics industries; integrating people with disabilities into your diversity program; and expert direction on how and where to get started.
