ARLINGTON - Faculty from The University of Texas at Arlington Department of Music will present a workshop detailing the steps students should take to prepare for application and audition to college music programs at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, in the Rio Grande Ballroom in the E. H. Hereford University Center, 300 W. First St.

"High School to College: Making it Through the Music Maze" is free for high school students and parents interested in learning about the college application and admission process for musicians. This process begins before the senior year, so all high school students are welcome. Preregistration is not required.

In addition to providing information about the audition process, this session will inform students and parents about the various music degrees offered at the college level, the differences between university and conservatory study, scholarship opportunities and job opportunities upon graduation.
