Tarrant County mental health center
Jaya Davis, associate professor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice, spoke to Fort Worth Star-Telegram about Tarrant County’s plans to open a mental health jail diversion center. Davis said the center will shift the burden of mental health care from the criminal justice system to the community.
Transporting crops and livestock
Caroline Krejci, assistant professor in the Department of Industrial, Manufacturing and Systems Engineering, is designing a better way for farmers to move crops and livestock to market through crowdsourced transportation programs, 7thSpace, Scienmag.com and Targeted News Service reported.
