Rare earth magnets to be made in Fort Worth
UTA physicist J. Ping Liu is working with Fort Worth’s MP Materials to produce magnets, an essential component in vehicles, drones, robotics, and aerospace and defense systems, reported the Fort Worth Report and Hoodline. Dr. Ping’s involvement is part of a grant from the Department of Energy to improve domestic sources for these key materials.
