Updating A Department Lab

How to Use:

OIT creates a bootable restore image to help lab administrators restore software to lab machines. This document explains the process of using the image to restore the lab.

In order to restore the machines   using the image, you will need the following:

  • Bootable external firewire drive containing the restore disk images for the lab: ? ?GB FireWire ?00/?00
  • Password for the ecadmin account.

If you do not have or do not know any of the information listed, please contact a Faculty/Staff administrator.

To do a full restore of the machine:

  1. These instructions assume that the Full Rebuild instructions have been done and that you want to only rebuild the MACOSX partition.
