You will need to know the name of the print queue as well as the name of the server on which it is installed.  Print queues are installed on departmental servers if not on the main print cluster server.  You may look up the name of your departmental server by clicking here.  Locate your department on the list to find corresponding server name.

How to Use:

  1. Ensure printer is turned on
  2. Go to Start / Run
  3. Type \\servername (such as \\print-cluster) and click <OK>
  4. Find print queue name among printer list
  5. Double-click print queue name to start installation process
  6. A "connecting to…" window will pop-up
  7. Necessary drivers will be installed during this connection process
  8. When install completes the Print Queue window will open on your computer confirming installation is complete
  9. You may close print queue window at any time

To set this printer as your default:

  1. Go to Control Panel / Printer and Faxes
  2. Find printer among printer list
  3. Right-click on printer one time in Printer List then select the Set as default option from pop-up menu
