Known Issues: Get prompt that update is available then click option to run update and receive an error reporting the update failed and the installation is forbidden by system policy…. contact system administrator...  To resolve this issue please attend to the following steps:

  • Go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\ARM\1.0
  • Locate AdobeArm.exe and right-click on this file
  • From the pop-up menu click Run as Administrator
  • This will rerun the update process with a more positive result
  • When update is complete open Adobe Reader as usual to verify successful operation
