Parking Refunds 2020-2021

Thursday, July 16, 2020

The information below is meant as a guide to help students and employees navigate the parking permit options for the 2020-2021 academic year.  The university plans to move to online-only courses on November 30, 2020.

Faculty/Staff Permits

Spring 2020 Faculty/Staff refund information can be found here.

Faculty/Staff have four options for parking permits this Fall semester:

1) Annual Permit:

The permit is valid from 8/22/20-8/20/21 and will not be offered at a discount.  However, employees can request a prorated refund until Spring Census Date (February 3, 2021) if their permit is no longer needed.

2) Semester Permit

The permit is valid from 8/22/20-12/31/20. The last day to request a prorated refund for these permits is Fall Census Date: 9/11/20.

3) Pay-As-You-Go Monthly Permit

For the Fall 2020 semester only, this permit has been discounted from $80/month to $22.50/month and can be purchased on an as-needed basis.  The permit is valid in Faculty/Staff surface lots for 30 days.  There are no refunds for this permit and it is not available for other upgrade or downgrade permits.

4) Short-term Parking

Purchase hourly or day parking at meters, pay stations, or the HonkMobile app.  Hourly street meters range from $2.50/hour to $3.75/hour and have maximum time limits. Daily parking is available for $13 in the visitor parking garages or $9 in surface faculty/staff lots.  The best way to monitor and pay for your short-term parking is to use the HonkMobile app. Look for signs near meters and pay stations for more information and the zone code.  There are no refunds for these permits and they can not be paid using Payroll Deduction.

Student Permits

Spring 2020 Student refund information can be found here.

Students have four options for parking permits this Fall semester:

2) Semester Permit

The permit is valid from 8/22/20-11/30/20 and is offered with a 1-month discount from the traditional semester-permit rate that would have ended 12/31/20. Students needing to park on campus in December must purchase an additional permit.  The last day to request a prorated refund for these permits is Fall Census Date: 9/11/20.

3) Pay-As-You-Go Monthly Permit
