30-Second Elevator Pitch Workshop and Competition

30-Second Elevator Pitch Workshop and Competition

A Next Generation Initiatives (NGI) Event hosted by Graduate Student Senate, Career Development Center, and the Office of Graduate Studies.

Having a 30-second elevator pitch about yourself is crucial when you're looking for a job. The 30-second elevator pitch summarizes who you are, what you do and why you’d be a perfect candidate. In this workshop, you will learn how to prepare a 30-second elevator pitch to introduce yourself to employers. Students will also have the chance to take what they've learned in the workshop and compete in the 30-second elevator pitch competition, where they will be rated on their 30-second elevator pitch by judges with industry experience for a chance to win 1 of 3 cash prizes: $300 for 1st place, $200 for 2nd place, and $100 for 3rd place.
