TO DEVELOP A PROPOSAL FOR INTERNAL OR EXTERNAL FUNDING Submission of a completed “Notice of Intent” (NOI) is required for any proposal that will be submitted to a funding agency. This includes internal (i.e., IRP, REP, iCAP) and external funding mechanisms. Please fill out an NOI, even if you are not the PI, and even if the SSW is not the submitting department. This form should be submitted to the Office for Research and Faculty Affairs (ORFA) as soon as the faculty member or student makes the decision to develop the proposal. The NOI is a non-binding notification for the purpose of allocating time and resources in the ORFA and the Office of Research Administration to review and submit the proposal. It is understood that information in the NOI may change and/or that a full proposal may not result. The ORFA will use this information to help ensure that the proposal meets UT Arlington’s requirements, is responsive to the sponsoring agency’s guidelines, and is submitted by the deadline. Note: Please complete an NOI for each anticipated proposal submission.
