NSF Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Application

For seniors and post-baccalaureates at The University of Texas at Arlington seeking :
Secondary Life Science, Chemistry, Physical Science, Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science Teacher certification.

$10,000 Scholarship for 1 academic year (upon award, amount/disbursement divided between two semesters; renewable for 1 additional year for UTA juniors)

Terms of this scholarship require students to complete the UTA program and earn certification, then teach in a high need district for two years (for each year of scholarship support) as noted above. Failure to do so requires the recipient to repay the scholarship funds in full. The scholarship requires agreeing to these terms. (Please know that to be eligible to be awarded this scholarship you must be a citizen of the U.S. or a permanent resident alien.)

High need districts include Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Irving, Cedar Hill, Hurst-Euless-Bedford, and others.

Please provide official transcripts that cover at least your last 60 hours of undergraduate study and any graduate work. In addition, your application requires 1-2 letters of recommendation (preferably from a professor or other professional who can speak to your teaching abilities).
