Special Event Parking Request

The online Special Event Parking Form should be submitted as soon as possible prior to the event, but it must be submitted at least five (5) business days prior.

UT Arlington hosts over 5,000 events each year and almost every one starts and ends with parking. The experience your visitors have can make or break the event. This is why it is important to consider your parking arrangements when planning your event.

Parking & Transportation event staff are responsible for balancing the logistics of event visitors with the needs of 38,000 students and 4,000+ faculty and staff parking permit holders who using campus daily. We, therefore, need your help to ensure parking for your event is successful.

Unfortunately, not all events can be accommodated based on the availability of space, so submit your parking requests early.

Parking & Transportation need at least five (5) business days to plan your parking arrangements.
UT Arlington publishes parking rates annually. Effective August 1, 2016 to July 31, 2017, the cost for an event participant parking permit is $7.50 per day.

Payment Options:

Several payment options are available for event participants:
1. Participants pay hourly or daily rate in Maverick Parking Garage or street meters
2. Event participants prepay for event parking permit
3. Event promoter/department pays 50% deposit, then post-pays for all remaining vehicles registered. Please note, citations will be issued in parking lot to vehicles without proper event permits.
4. Event promoter prepays for entire lot (based on availability, no event permits required)
5. Event participants pay cash in lot (available for events larger than 100 vehicles only. Gate fee is $10 per vehicle + $17/hr for staffing)

Vehicle Registration
It is our wish to provide adequate parking for visitors to UT Arlington. However, we have an obligation to protect those parking privileges paid for by students and employees of the University. To do so, all vehicles that park on campus must register their vehicle license plate in the MavPark system. This ensures Parking & Transportation can enforce parking regulations and fulfill the obligation it has to the UTA community.

Microsite- Parking & Transportation event staff will create an event parking microsite the event promoter can send to participants to register their vehicle before arriving on campus. The parking fee will be paid by the vehicle owner at the time of registration or charged to the event promoter as part of the parking plan package. The microsite will include a parking map for event participants to find their designated parking area.

Non-reserved space(s): Used as general parking based on a first-come, first-serve basis. All non-reserved parking reservations require vehicle license plate registration.
Reserved space(s) (based on availability): Used as dedicated parking held for the exclusive use and benefit of the event. These spaces may displace UTA permit holders and are typically barricaded to ensure availability as participants arrive. An additional cost may be included at the discretion of the Parking & Transportation events team for labor and required equipment to reserve the lot. We will provide you a quote before we finalize your event parking request.
